Connectix wins IET Endorsed Training Provider status

Connectix Cabling Systems has gained approval from the IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology, formerly the IEE) for all the current range of Connectix technical seminars and installer training programmes

The IET joins CIBSE in recognizing the Connectix seminars as being suitable for Continuing Professional Development or CPD. Nearly all professional engineers, architects and consultants have to maintain their level of knowledge in their professional field throughout their careers. Many institutions insist on this for members to maintain their professional status.

The IET stated, “This activity is appropriate for the maintenance or enhancement of a competence relevant to an individual’s professional development.”

The accreditation covers the Connectix range of data centre design seminars, the Connectix review of ten gigabit cabling technologies and installer training for copper and optical cabling technology. The Connectix data centre design seminars in particular have already been held around the UK in association with the IET, and more are planned in 2007 in both the UK and Ireland.

The approval from CIBSE and the IET follows the award from BICSI of Continuing Education Credits for all Connectix seminar and training material.
