Considerate Contractor Gold Award

Colt has secured a Gold Award at this year’s City of London Considerate Contractor Scheme (CCS). Colt is the only utility to have been granted this accolade every year since the company started building its fibre network in 1993.

The CCS aims to encourage building and civil engineering contractors working in the City to carry out their operations in a safe and considerate manner, with due regard to passing pedestrians and road users. The Gold Award recognises organisations that have consistently exceeded the CCS’s Code of Good Practice.

“We operate one of the largest fibre networks across London and we are continuously upgrading and expanding our infrastructure to deliver excellent service for our customers,” said Detlef Spang, UK Managing Director at Colt. “We take the safety and efficiency of our street works very seriously and so we are delighted to be named as a Gold Award winner once again this year.”
