Content Guru announces new integration with Microsoft Teams

Content Guru, a cloud communications provider, has announced that its CCaaS offering, storm, now integrates with Microsoft Teams, the collaborative communications application.

The storm Teams integration enables users to dial external numbers through Teams and transfer phone calls to back-office subject matter experts who are best placed to advise customers. The process also works in the opposite direction. This creates one seamless, unified environment for employees to communicate externally and internally, both in the contact centre and throughout the wider organisation.

The integration is implemented on a hosted basis without the need for new hardware, helping to keep costs down and speed up deployment. Content Guru's storm cloud contact centre solution has broad integration capabilities, with hundreds of successful integrations to third-party software systems, including with Microsoft Azure and Dynamics.

Martin Taylor, deputy CEO and co-founder at Content Guru, commented, “Content Guru was one of the first to market with cloud, and has been at the forefront of flexible API integrations ever since its inception in 2005. Microsoft Teams is having a seismic impact on customer expectations of contact centres, with its powerful and intuitive collaboration tools.

“Meeting these heightened expectations is especially important given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has made the need for efficient Unified Communications (UC) even more apparent. Teams is a perfect match for storm’s powerful open standards architecture, and together they provide a future-proof solution for any organisation.”
