Pinnacle Telecom Group has announced that it has successfully won a contract to supply temporary voice and data networks which will be used to cover the four-day visit to the UK of Pope Benedict XVI.
The contract will commence on the Pope’s visit to Scotland on 16 September, where he will be received by Her Majesty The Queen in Edinburgh, before travelling to Glasgow where he will celebrate an evening open-air Mass at Bellahouston Park, he will then fly from Glasgow to London.
Amongst many other engagements whilst in London, the Pope will celebrate Mass in Westminster Cathedral. On Sunday 19 September, the pope will travel to Birmingham to celebrate the beatification of Cardinal John Henry Newman, which will be held in Cofton Park, before returning to Rome from Birmingham Airport.
Pinnacle’s circuits will be used for security services and to broadcast sound for the BBC, as well as church radio stations. The Papal visit will take the total number of temporary and remote circuits provided for the BBC in 2010, to around 400.
Pinnacle Telecom Group is also pleased to announce that it has successfully completed a contract to provide a temporary voice and data network for The Big Chill Festival in Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire. The Company also has further contracts in August to supply – V Festivals in Weston Park – Staffordshire, V Festivals in Hylands Park – Chelmsford, Leeds Festival, Reading Festival and Shambala Festival.
