Convergence Summit North Goes off with a Bang!

MSPs
This week saw the return of the Convergence Summit North show in Manchester

The show brings all the major convergence suppliers together under one roof for two days of networking and partnership deals. The show kicked off on Tuesday with great attendance throughout the day. Resellers poured into the hall eager to find out more about new products and technology hitting the market and how they can angle their businesses to take advantage of new trends. The educational seminars where particularly well attended and yet again the popular topics lay around SIP and hosted applications.

There where a number of new, and returning, companies at the show this year which reflected the changing economic climate in the channel. BlinkPipe where showing off there new video conferencing hardware, with a twist, which attracted so much attention they where swept off their feet with enquiries. O2 set up their stand with a team of masseurs to allow visitors to relax whilst they learned about the M2M opportunities facing the channel today. ICP Networks had a brilliant giveaway on their stand to attract visitors! They had sponsored the football from the Man City vs Chelsea FA cup game a few weeks ago and where giving away the match ball, signed by the entire Man City team (winners)! Comms Business Editor, and avid Chelsea fan, Ian Hunter had to crack a smile as he drew the lucky winner!

The event was topped off with another successful night at the comedy store which saw exhibitors and visitors come together over a few drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

Comms Business would like to thank all those who supported the event this year. We look forward to seeing you all at the northern show next year in its new location in Harrogate!
