Corporate Telecommunications Aims for £1m from New Website

Corporate Telecommunications, a leading distributor of headsets, handsets, audio conferencing, voice and data installation equipment, has announced bold plans to almost double its online sales to over £1m within 12 months.

The cornerstone of the North West company’s audacious ambitions is a new state-of-the-art website (www.corpteluk.com), they believe to be the most advanced in the industry, launched this Monday,

The company says their new website features a new super-fast online buying process, an online buying tutorial which guides the user through the buying process from product selection to order completion, including the various different methods of payment, and a live video/text chat service which enables users to talk to individual sales people in real time using an online video or text link.

The website offers a variety of ‘e-coupon’ special offers for new customers and uses the latest RSS (Really Simple Syndication) technology to keep users automatically informed of the latest special offers, discounts, best sellers, clearance lines and other money saving initiatives.

Corporate Telecommunications is believed to be the only headset distributor with its own newsreader service. The completely secure, anonymous system also enables users to add their own ‘news feeds’ to the newsreader and receive the latest news from a huge array of websites, such as BBC News, Money Supermarket and the Financial Times etc.

Corporate claim the second major innovation is their comprehensive online accounts facility. This allows Corporate Telecommunications’ account customers to keep track of all their purchases online, view their individual pricing, discounts and reduced carriage offers, print or download their statement of account, invoices, credit notes and payment details.

With the company having already increased web sales from around £100,000 to over half a million pounds in the twenty months since the previous website was launched, Bansal believes that the new website will catapult the company’s online turnover beyond the £1m barrier.

“A combination of new customers harnessing the web to procure their headsets, handsets and data and audio equipment, together with existing customers moving to the online model, should help us reach over £1m online sales in 2008. We’ve already had very positive feedback since the launch, with customers commenting on its ease of use and slick design,” he says.

Corporate Telecommunications was one of the first in the industry to recognise the potential of the internet. It stopped publishing a hard-copy catalogue five years ago, preferring the immediacy, flexibility and customer-responsiveness of displaying them on-line.

Offline sales are still vital to the business, however, and Bansal says that the company is equally committed to growing its offline customer base.

“It’s not just about the internet. There are still many customers who, although they use our website for research, product selection and for the accounts functionality, prefer to deal with us personally. And rest assured, our telesales operation will continue to play a big part in our on-going business growth in the years to come,” says Bansal.
