Cradlepoint appoints new EMEA director of MSP/SSP

People MSPs
Cradlepoint has this week announced the appointment of Ross Hockey as director EMEA of MSP/SSP (managed service partners/solution service providers).

Hockey will be responsible for creating new MSP/SSP partnerships based on Cradlepoint NetCloud and the company’s purpose-built 4G and 5G routers for branch, mobile and IoT use cases. The appointment will extend Cradlepoint’s offerings in the EMEA region to MSPs and SSPs, enabling businesses to build out IoT projects without the need to rely on wired broadband.

He brings over sixteen years of experience to the role, having began his career designing mobile coverage for UK carries including Orange and T-Mobile. His carer has taken him on projects across EMEA as well as Dubai and South Africa. Most recently, he was VP of network performance orchestration solutions and alliances at Infovista.

“I have seen how cellular networks can drive returns for enterprises over the course of my career, most recently with the emergence of 5G technology,” said Hockey.

“Covid-19 has changed what businesses want from their providers, and they are looking for ways to create different revenue streams. This has created a huge opportunity for MSPs and SSPs if they are able to find the right solutions to those problems. I believe Cradlepoint can help them with that journey.”
