Crane Assures Resellers on LG Base

In the wake of the news last month that Crane Telecommunications will cease selling LG telephone systems at the end of the year when importer Capstan will sell direct Keith Deane, Technical Operations Director at Crane has written to resellers saying:

“Crane Telecommunications hold contracts for the supply of Maintenance services for you or your customers' LG telephone systems. As you are no doubt aware, the trading relationship between LG and Crane changed about a year ago, LG appointing a 'master distributor' in the UK, namely Capstan. Crane have worked successfully with this new relationship in the last year but for various reasons it has been agreed that the product supply relationship will end at the end of 2006.

We would like to assure all Crane service customers who have an LG installed base of equipment that this will in no way affect our intention to provide support to you on an ongoing basis.

Crane support over 2,000 LG Maintenance contracts in the field, via a team of 20 highly experienced engineers located throughout the country with over 250 man years experience. As such, Crane will continue to be the premier service partner for support of the LG product set. No other organisation can provide the strength and depth of LG knowledge in the field.”
