All this can be managed from a single, integrated management console, giving IT departments a way of tracking, auditing and reporting on all their companies’ mobile devices.
With this new addition, Credant gains the enviable position of offering its customers complete flexibility to protect data wherever it is, however they want in what ever manner they choose to meet their specific endpoint needs, varied as they may be, all managed from a central management console that gives enterprise level auditing and reporting capabilities essential to businesses today.
Credant FDE DriveManager fortifies the trusted Seagate Momentus self-encrypting 2.5 inch hard drives with built-in full disk encryption. This fully automated self-encrypting disk protects organisations from data loss due to a stolen or lost computer through remote management, pre-boot strong authentication and remote destruction.
With self-encrypting drives, user passwords are not stored in the drive memory so password signatures are totally inaccessible after computer shut down, further safeguarding the data from unauthorised users. Repurposing and retirement of computers and hard drives is easy and eliminates the risk of exposing sensitive information as administrators can send a device wipe message to erase all of the keys from the drive and prevent any access to the data, forever.
