CTI Group Grow ‘Tashes for Charitable Cash

CTI Group, the provider of call management and VoIP call recording solutions, has raised more than £1,700 to benefit The Prostate Cancer Charity as part of its support for the global charity event Movember. Men throughout CTI Group’s Purley and Blackburn offices took part in the month-long event.

Andy Wilson, CTI Group’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing International, commented: “I am delighted with the high level of participation from staff at our Blackburn and Purley offices and the money we were able to raise for this important charity. Almost all of the men at CTI Group took part and everyone enjoyed following how each person’s moustache developed, or didn’t as the case may be, throughout November.

“Helping to raise funds and awareness for important men’s health issues like prostate cancer and depression should make everyone throughout our organisation feel proud. As a result of innovative campaigns such as Movember, health awareness amongst men has greatly increased and helps to change attitudes and habits, while raising the profile of the risks men face.”

CTI Group has a dedicated charity committee which oversees all of the organisation’s charitable donations. In 2009, CTI Group was able to raise thousands of pounds for charities including Children in Need, Jeans for Genes, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Wear It Pink breast cancer campaign.

Movember is an annual, month-long celebration of the moustache, highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer. Participants begin the month of November clean shaven and then have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their moustache. Movember’s goal is for every moustache to effectively become a walking billboard for men’s health while raising essential funds and awareness for Movember’s men’s health partner – The Prostate Cancer Charity.
