D-Link appoints Bell Micro as Distributor

D-Link has announced that it has appointed Bell Micro as a distribution partner in the UK. The appointment is intended to support D-Link’s growth in the business sector, which has included a 30% increase in the number of products available for distribution in the UK. In addition, the partnership is intended to increase D-Link’s market share of networked storage solutions.

“Coinciding with the recent launch of our new Partner+ program we are very happy to have signed Bell Micro as a distributor. These are exciting times for us, five years ago we didn’t have the breadth and depth of products that we do today. We now have an entire new range of chassis switches, as well as a wide range of IP surveillance and storage products that have been added to the growing business portfolio,” said Chris Davies, general manager, D-Link UK & Ireland. “Inevitably this has meant that we need new routes to market and more high-end reseller partners to fulfill this increasing demand.”

“Our partners are our lifeblood, so we are constantly looking at ways to add value and improve our relationships. Bell Micro joins our existing distributors Enta Technologies, Micro Peripherals and Ingram Micro. All four companies have continually evolved and transformed their business models for the better. D-Link itself has changed (in the UK) from about 80%+ of revenues going to the consumer marketplace to now, where our channel is about 90% business-orientated. We look forward to what the future will bring,” continued Chris Davies.

“Bell Micro is very excited to be working with D-Link to grow its storage market share and business credentials in the UK. The product range it offers will allow us to truly offer end-to-end networking solutions to our customers,” commented Tom Ellis, Business Unit Manager for Storage Solutions at Bell Micro.
