D-Link Launches Two New Wireless N Network Devices

D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, has launched two new Wireless N Network Adapters – the DWA-556 Wireless N Desktop Adapter and DWA-643 Wireless N Notebook Adapter, developed to provide home and office users with high speed Wi-Fi access and increased security.

The DWA-556 Wireless N PCle Desktop Adapter connects a desktop computer to a wireless network to access a high-speed Internet connection, transfer files and stream media from greater distances around the entire home or office. The DWA-643 Wireless N Expresscard Notebook Adapter boasts a slim, light design and high performance, allowing home or office users to connect their laptop to a wireless network with peace of mind that the Wi-Fi connection is completely secure.

Both adapters provide a high-speed wireless connection with coverage of up to five times farther than 802.11g and raw data throughput of up to 300Mbps - perfect for users that demand the highest in networking performance. The adapters also deliver optimal connectivity when used with a Wireless N router or Access Point, so users can stay connected from virtually anywhere in their home.

The latest security features are included with support for WPA/WPA2 security and WEP data encryption to help prevent outside intrusion and protect personal information. As with all D-Link products, a quick setup wizard in 15 languages guides users through the installation process and Wireless Manager Software keeps track of all of the most frequently accessed networks.

Both the DWA-643 and DWA-556 adapters are covered by D-Link’s unrivalled 11-year product warranty for all Wireless N products, demonstrating the company’s commitment to this new wireless technology.

“These new adapters will provide users with ultimate Wireless N connectivity and go hand in hand with D-Link’s latest Wireless N product range,” said Bentley Lo, D-Link Product Manager. “Both adapters have been developed to meet the performance, flexibility and security expectations of home and office users.”
