Daisy Completes Sixth Acquisition in 12 Months

Daisy has completed its first acquisition of the new financial year, taking on more than 360 customers from fellow Lancashire-based communications company YourTel.

Following on from several high profile acquisitions last year, the latest move by Daisy is further evidence of the company’s willingness to grow and drive new business through acquisition as well as organic means.

The acquisition, the company’s sixth in 12 months, has seen Daisy take over the lines and calls of the YourTel customers involved, including customer care and billing, with the integration successfully completed within a couple of weeks.

Throughout 2006 Daisy demonstrated continued growth and while not remaining reliant on purely organic means it has continued with its aggressive acquisition strategy, something the company’s finance director, Matt Peters, believes makes Daisy unique in the marketplace.

“Daisy will discuss acquisitions with any company, no matter what their size and the YourTel acquisition is evidence of this. Last year the business announced it wanted to continue to grow through this method and that holds true,” said Peters.

“We believe we are unique, being the only provider in the market that can undertake acquisitions of any size whilst remaining flexible to structure a bespoke deal to suit both parties. There is nobody else in the market currently completing acquisitions of resellers generating revenue over £400,000 per month as well as those doing under £10,000 per month.”

The YourTel customers that have now migrated will benefit from the Daisy commitment to outstanding customer service, competitive pricing and access to a broad portfolio of communications solutions while enjoying the same terms and conditions.

Dean McEvoy, managing director of YourTel, said: “The acquisition of YourTel by Daisy was straight forward and went extremely well. It was important customers continued to receive the highest standards in customer service and quality products, and we firmly believe Daisy is the best partner to deliver.

“Doing business with Daisy was a pleasure. They delivered against the original deal and were fair and open throughout the negotiations.”
