Mobile airtime distributor Daisy Distribution has announced the appointment of a new Operations Director. Christine Slater joins the mobile division of Daisy Group plc with over 20 years’ experience in branded, complex and customer centric organisations.

At Daisy Distribution, she will be based between the company’s Ipswich and Prudhoe sites and will be responsible for the Service Delivery Teams at both premises, as well as IT, logistics and purchasing.

During her career, Christine has worked for Virgin Media (previously Telewest Broadband), where she led operations and implemented strategic and tactical plans for reducing churn, complaints and increasing customer satisfaction.

Christine pioneered the introduction of the Customer Relations (retentions) function within Telewest Communications back in 1999, which went on to produce ‘world class’ churn levels and was key to the well-publicised transformation of churn in the UK cable industry.

Christine’s wide-ranging experience varies from operations management to business transformation and improving the customer journey.

Over the last four years she has worked as an independent business consultant, working with executive management teams across a range of industries, implementing customer and operational strategies.

While Daisy Distribution has already implemented the initial rollout of its job management system, Christine will oversee further operational developments the company has in mind with regard to its partner extranet and financial systems architecture.

Dave McGinn, Managing Director of Daisy Distribution, said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Christine to Daisy Distribution and I wish her well during her time with the company.

“Christine has a significant amount of invaluable experience within the telecommunications industry and a proven track record of being able to achieve operational excellence at a number of organisations. Our focus is on continual improvement of our partner experience and infrastructure management and this role is pivotal to that.

“She joins Daisy Distribution during an exciting period of growth and opportunity, as the company continues to successfully move forward under the Daisy Group umbrella.”
