Daisy Forges New Relationship with Thus

Thus plc today announced that it has signed an agreement, worth £7.2m, with Daisy Communications Limited (Daisy), one of the UK’s fastest growing independent communication providers.

The agreement will see Daisy utilise Thus’ next-generation network to provide a range of services to small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) throughout the UK. As part of the contract, the management of some Thus SMB customers will transfer to Daisy. These customers will be billed and supported by the Lancashire-based company while traffic will continue to be delivered across Thus’ next-generation network.

Daisy’s customers will benefit from comprehensive online billing, dedicated account management and a one bill solution for all their communication needs. Daisy provides an extensive product set including fixed and mobile voice, line rental and new line installation, number translation services, broadband services and mobile data solutions.

Daisy has also taken over the day-to-day management of a small number of channel business partners who are set to benefit from extensive channel support in order to drive new business.

Chief Executive Officer, Daisy, Matthew Riley said: “Like Thus, Daisy shares a strong belief in its people and the services it provides to customers and business partners, and in a fast moving market this shared philosophy is fundamental to the relationship. Daisy is set to benefit from working with a company that has consistently been at the forefront of delivering converged solutions and continues to drive the market.”

Duncan Wilkinson, Head of Channel Sales, Thus plc commented: “Thus' channel strategy has been particularly successful and this has been further enhanced by the acquisition last year of Your Communications. Key to this strategy is working with selected channel partners, such as Daisy, to ensure that we deliver best in class products and services to our customer base.”
