Daisy Group Commits to Neoth East

Daisy Group plc has committed itself to the North East with a re-brand and official launch of its Prudhoe-based office.

The former BNS Telecom site, acquired by Daisy in February, has been re-branded as part of its integration into the Daisy Group, with the North East site identified as a key area for growth.

With old signs disposed of, a new Daisy-branded office has been unveiled to employees, giving Daisy a permanent base in the region.

Following the acquisition of BNS, the new owners carried out a full review of operations in Prudhoe and became determined to tap into the expertise offered by the team.

Impressed by the skills, capabilities and experience, and with a strong regional presence in the North East, the Prudhoe team leads Daisy’s systems services division, acting as a centre of excellence within the Group.

Former BNS finance director Andrew Goldwater has been appointed Commercial Director for the operation and is excited at the prospects for the business in Prudhoe.

He said: “When Daisy acquired BNS back in February, it became apparent to the management team that this company had people and products with core strengths, and the Group didn’t want to lose that.

“I think these are very exciting times for the region as this isn’t just a retaining exercise, this is about creating a centre of excellence from which we can grow.”

Chief Operating Officer Gareth Kirkwood said: “We believe there is a strong business here and we have continually impressed by the quality and enthusiasm of the people here. They have showed great zeal for being involved in the wider group and we really do believe the Prudhoe site as being a key part of the Daisy growth story.”
