Daisy Kick Starts Recruitment Drive

Daisy Group will be holding a recruitment day this month in a bid to fill the 100 job vacancies it currently has available. Daisy will be tying in the open day on Thursday, 14th July with a high profile visit from the Director General of the CBI (Confederation of British Industry). A key spokesman for the business community on public platforms and with government, John Cridland leads the CBI – the voice of business – in the UK and represents it internationally.

Mr Cridland commented: “Daisy is a fantastic example of a young high-growth business which has emerged successfully from the recession and is continuing to create large numbers of new jobs. I am looking forward to meeting the Daisy team and seeing their latest office development.”

Daisy is one of two fast growing businesses Mr Cridland will be calling in on during his first official visit to the North West.

Clare Martin, Group HR Director for Daisy, said: “We’re very excited to welcome Mr Cridland to Daisy and demonstrate how the company’s growth is creating some fantastic career opportunities for people both locally and nationally.

“With 18 sites across the country and another office building set to open in Nelson in the coming months, Daisy is an incredibly exciting place to work.”

Daisy’s new office building was previously occupied by Rostron’s engineering and is adjacent to the company’s current premises on Lomeshaye Industrial Estate, which, with 400 employees, is now full to capacity.

With room for an additional 700 staff at the new premises, the business communications provider, which employs 1,400 across England, Scotland and Wales, is planning to fill 100 new roles within the next six months.

To kick-start the process, the company will be holding its recruitment day at Daisy House, Lindred Road, Nelson, between 10am and 4pm on Thursday, 14th July.

People will be invited to hop on board Daisy’s big red recruitment bus, armed with their CVs, to discuss the jobs available, before enjoying a conducted tour of the company’s headquarters.

Clare added: “Our recruitment day is the perfect opportunity for anyone actively looking for work, or seeking a change of career, to find out more about the various roles we are advertising.

“Daisy is a fantastic place to work and prides itself on being able to offer not only competitive rates of pay and job security, but excellent career development opportunities, including on-the-job training.”
