Daisy Wholesale, the reseller arm of Daisy Group plc, has announced the appointments of three new Directors to its board.

The total solutions provider heads into the new financial year with the arrival of a new Sales Director, Operations Director and Finance Director.

All experienced leaders in the telecommunications sector, they have spent more than 60 combined years in the industry.

They join Daisy Wholesale during an exciting period of growth and opportunity, as the company drives forward from last year’s acquisitions under the guidance of new Managing Director Carl Churchill.

New Sales Director Garry Growns has more than 25 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, as the founder and former managing director of ImperaData. Garry looked after the day-to-day running of the business and had specific responsibility for Group Sales. Prior to that, he worked at Guardian IT Plc as Group Sales Director, COLT Internet as International Sales Director, and BT as a General Manager in the data and Internet sectors.

Paul Richens, Daisy Wholesale’s new Operations Director, has been in the telecommunications industry since 1997, starting as a PABX engineer for Powerhouse Communications, before working up to the position of Operations Director during his four years’ service.

His latest position as Operations Manager at O-bit Telecom, recently acquired by Daisy Wholesale, has seen Paul successfully deliver WLR3 & WBC transitions, while driving efficiency in the Product, Support and Software development teams.

Prior to this, Paul spent four years at Tiscali Wholesale, managing the Pipex & Tiscali Business products, sales and retention teams. He also worked at Eclipse Internet where Paul launched FTTC and re-launched the Business Broadband packages.

New Finance Director Frank Chapman joins Daisy Wholesale with a wealth of international financial, commercial and systems development experience. Since joining BellSouth in 1989, Frank worked as a Chief Finance Officer for a number of its operations, including RAM Mobile Data in the UK. Prior to joining BellSouth he had held senior positions in systems and finance with Unisys.

He recently completed three years in the role of CFO creating Afghanistan’s largest mobile operator, Roshan, as part of the development effort to stabilise the country.

Since his return to the UK, Frank has been working as a consultant and has provided specialist expertise on projects for Ofcom, Core Communications, Eircom and BT, including number porting, profit improvement programs, acquisition target evaluations, regulatory advice and NGN development options.

Carl Churchill commented: “I am very pleased to welcome Garry, Paul and Frank to Daisy Wholesale. Their appointments come at a time of organic and acquisitive growth for the business and are a demonstration of our investment in our future and the support of our partners. I’m incredibly excited about the future, having this team on board.

“They are all extremely experienced in their field and we look forward to seeing all that they will bring to the Daisy Wholesale team.

“For us, this year is all about growth and making sure we have all the supporting interface to win new business and help resellers grow theirs. Our new Sales Director, Operations Director and Finance Director will play key roles in helping us to achieve this.”
