Datapoint Announces Matt Taylor as Group Services Director

Appointment to strengthen company’s charge into professional and managed services

Datapoint, the contact centre optimisation and unified communications specialist, today announces the appointment of Matt Taylor as Group Services Director. Taylor will build on Datapoint’s strong 2011 performance and broaden its market offer into professional and managed services.

Jim Kent, CEO of Datapoint says:

“The unified communications market is in the process of significant change. Customers expect ever-greater integration with broader managed services and contact centre optimisations tools.

“The last 12 months have seen Datapoint’s market offer transformed with the Katalyst solution. Matt’s arrival will now inject much-needed momentum into the development of our professional and managed services portfolio.”

In his capacity as Group Services Director, Matt will focus on the development of Datapoint’s go-to-market strategy and strengthen Datapoint’s existing presence in contact centre and communications business services.

Matt Taylor comments:

“Optimising company assets is important at any stage of an economic cycle. However, as economic growth remains stagnant, wise business leaders are scaling back significant investment and making their existing assets sweat more. Datapoint’s managed services teams will focus on helping organisations make the most from their contact centre and communication assets, minimising cost.”

This will fit into a full portfolio going through the entire life cycle of services: analyse, design, implement, maintain, adapt and enhance.

Taylor will also drive the innovation of the Katalyst and CORECentre offerings so enterprises can understand how well their contact centres are operating as seen from customer, agent and business perspectives.

Jim Kent continues:

“With unified communications set to triple by 2015, this is a real coup for Datapoint, as we expand the business.”

Matt arrives at Datapoint from Easynet where, most recently, he was Head of Professional Services. He previously oversaw several new managed services including managed video-conferencing and built a professional services practice; he has worked in other technical and product roles within telecom service providers and also has 5 years of experience working with a systems integrator.

Taylor concludes:

“Datapoint has seen significant gains in innovation recently, and it’s an exciting time to join. Having worked in both technical and product roles across the sector, it’s clear that Datapoint is an excellent company with great credentials, which I am excited to be a part of.”
