Datapoint Marks Expansion into Northern Ireland with Launch Event

To mark their expansion into Northern Ireland, Datapoint recently held a launch event with Avaya at The Merchant Hotel, Belfast. More than 30 delegates from the Northern Ireland business community attended the launch, which featured two keynote speakers from Avaya EMEA to discuss advances in communications systems.

As one of Europe’s largest Systems Integrators, Datapoint have had a strong presence in the Irish marketplace since 2000, supporting over 60 multi-national and local clients in the design, deployment and support of enterprise communications infrastructures, and multi-site contact centre applications. Based on the demand from these clients, and a recognition that the indigenous and MNC business in the Northern Irish marketplace requires an alternative approach focused around true systems integration, Datapoint have extended their operations into Northern Ireland.

The event focused primarily on providing attendees a strong introduction to Unified Communications, with an overview of contact centres and new multi-channel customer contact strategies. Roger Jones, Business Development Manager at Avaya and Dave Bengtson, Vice President, Global Strategic Solutions Team, Avaya EMEA presented examples that demonstrated the accelerated business results that companies can achieve, and provided business outlook on key contact centre areas including self-service, function-automation, and business process integration.

"Unified communications is a touchpoint for businesses around the globe, and could provide companies in Northern Ireland with the strategy they need to continue to grow even in turbulent market times," said Jason Flynn, country manager, Avaya Ireland. "Datapoint is sensitive to the needs of its customers, and together with our team at Avaya, can help companies create a solid foundation for communications today - and into the future."
