In a bid to support the local community, Barrowford-based Telecommunications & IT Business, Denwa, is delighted to confirm that it has agreed to become the official sponsor of two semi-professional football teams.
The Lancashire-based telecommunications and IT services provider has reached an arrangement to sponsor the new first-team shirts for both Padiham FC, members of the Northern Premier League, and Colne United, members of the East Lancashire Football League.
The deals come just a week after Denwa sponsored and presented the Sport Development Recognition Award at the Pendle Sports Awards 2014, and represent the firm’s ongoing plan to support and encourage sporting excellence in and around the area where the business is based.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Denwa’s Managing Director Rob Scott, said: “As someone who lives and works in the area, I know how important it is for businesses to show their support for the local community. This is a great step for Denwa and we’re extremely happy to be involved with two clubs that have accomplished so much over the last few years.”
Andrew Frost, Commercial and Marketing Manager for Colne United, commented: “We are delighted that Denwa has chosen to sponsor the club because as a voluntary team with limited money, sponsorship like this goes a long way to protecting the club’s future for another few years.”
