Most recently DiData’s COO of global services and playing a key role in driving Dimension Data Group's services strategy, Clark’s appointment will strengthen Dimension Data UK’s services offering and highlights the company’s commitment to continued growth in this area. Clark will also help Dimension Data UK to maintain its high standard of customer service and grow all lines of business by providing outstanding operational support.
According to Clark, his three years of experience as Group Finance Manager for the Conservation Corporation in South Africa in the 1990s were pivotal to developing a strong focus on services and customer satisfaction. He said: “While buying lions and hyenas for South African game parks and managing five star lodges is obviously very different to managing operations for a global IT services and solutions provider, through that experience I came to fully appreciate the importance of customer satisfaction to success. And as in the wildlife industry, so too in IT: only five star service providers will prosper. It’s my job to ensure that Dimension Data continues to be one of these.”
A qualified accountant, Clark has been with the Dimension Data Group for over nine years and has held a variety of positions, including Group Finance Manager and Commercial Director for Customer Interactive Solutions. During this time he has built up strong relationships with the company’s global partners – Cisco in particular - and was one of the key negotiators in Dimension Data’s successful bid in 2006 to be the first company to sign a Global Services Alliance with the IT giant. He has worked for Dimension Data in South Africa, Australia and the UK.
