Release 4 is a major step forward for DIGITALK's established VoIP Peering application based on the Carrier Session Border Controller. The most significant capability in the new release is Wholesale Billing, a complete billing and invoicing solution for wholesale termination providers. Based on VoIP Peering's real-time rating and balance management, Wholesale Billing introduces flexible billing cycles, WYSIWYG invoice template configuration, credit notes, and invoice distribution by email, with multiple export formats.
Wholesale Billing on SBC VoIP Peering greatly simplifies billing and invoicing implementation for wholesale termination providers, offering the flexibility to meet the distinct billing requirements of their customers.
SBC VoIP Peering Release 4 also incorporates a number of features that simplify and extend carrier inter-working and routing management, such as simple release cause mapping configuration to accommodate distinct carrier signalling requirements, and greater control over customer call rate limits.

SBC VoIP Peering Release 4 deployments will begin in February, 2013, and some of the first customers to receive the new release will be those on the DIGITALK Cloud, DIGITALK's hosted carrier routing platform.
