Director’s appointment marks decade of growth at Xtreme

Network infrastructure specialist Xtreme Business Solutions (Xtreme) has marked its tenth year in business by appointing one of its founding employees, Martin McCarthy as projects director.

Mr McCarthy brings a wealth of project management and technical knowledge to the newly created senior role. Having been with Westhill-based Xtreme since day one, he is part of a core group of employees who have helped the business to grow and expand its service offering.

“Martin has made an important contribution to the expansion of Xtreme over the past ten years,” said Graeme Duncan, managing director. “His combination of technical expertise and communication skills is valued highly by our clients. In recent years, Martin has taken responsibility for many of Xtreme’s larger projects and has proven himself to be extremely capable. His appointment as projects director is both fitting and deserved.”

Commenting on his appointment, Martin McCarthy said: “I am delighted to become a director of Xtreme. Having watched the business grow and diversify over the past ten years, I am looking forward to helping drive its future development into new markets and areas of expertise.”

Mr McCarthy was the first employee to join Xtreme Business Solutions during its first year in business in 2003. The company has since grown its staff numbers to a team of over 40, who provide a diverse range of IT solutions to clients across a wide range of industry sectors internationally. In addition to growing the workforce, Xtreme has recently extended its capabilities to tackle specialist offshore work.
