The 2008 Technology of the Year awards recognize 49 products across 9 general categories. Selected by InfoWorld Test Centre editors and reviewers, the annual awards identify the best and most innovative products on the IT landscape. InfoWorld's Technology of the Year awards are chosen by a procedure that is closed to outside nominations. Winners are drawn from all of the products tested during the past year, with the final selections made by InfoWorld's Test Centre staff. All products reviewed by the Test Centre are eligible to win.
