DMSL appoints ICT specialist to boost reseller sales support

DMSL, the distributor of BT broadband and related services, has added further strength to its reseller account management team by appointing Simon Heath as ICT Sales Support Specialist.

Heath has joined DMSL from BT’s indirect channels operations where he spent the last seven years working as a Reseller Account Manager and Convergence Solutions Specialist, and gained valuable experience in helping partners to develop business around new BT technologies

As DMSL’s main ICT specialist, he will work closely with resellers to drive their revenues with existing and emerging IP based solutions. He will provide expert advice and support on key technical issues such as unified communications, BT’s 21CN plans and the setting up of MPLS services, virtual private networks and other advanced technologies that are increasingly being deployed by smaller businesses, as well as providing pre-sales advice on a consultative basis, and assisting resellers in overseeing projects through to their successful completion.

Welcoming Heath to DMSL, Managing Director John Carter says: “The profile of BT’s solutions and services is changing rapidly and becoming more capable and at the same time, more technically complex. There are some fantastic opportunities for SMB resellers with BT at the moment and we’ve appointed Simon to help them to better-understand the potential and to provide hands-on support and service that many of them are now asking DMSL to provide.”

There are also good opportunities for resellers to generate higher revenues and profits by selling and supporting other services such as BTnet connections, which are idea for growing businesses that need scalable, affordable bandwidth and also provide resellers with significant margin-development and value-added opportunities.
