Doro Unveils New Fixed Line Range

Comfort phones offer new inclusive solution for home and office

Doro continues to develop the area of inclusive design with the launch of its new range of easy-to-use telephones for the home and office. The new Doro Comfort range is aimed specifically at the fifty plus audience and includes both cordless DECT and corded fixed line handsets. All Doro Comfort models are hearing aid compatible and have clear amplified sounds. They come with high-contrast displays making them easier to use. By including PaBX compatible functions Doro has created a versatile solution perfectly suited for use in office environments as well as domestic homes.

Chris Millington, Managing Director of Doro UK & Ireland said: “Doro has over 38 years’ experience in the fixed line telecoms sector and more recently, care, telecare and mobile. We have now applied our extensive knowledge and consumer research of the senior market to create this new range of high performance phones. The Doro Comfort concept has been designed to cater for the increasingly diverse needs of the ageing workforce and also to provide a great sounding quality home phone.”

With retirement ages increasing, employers need to recognise and respond to the changing needs of their workforce. Common impairments such as diminished hearing and sight loss become more prevalent during our fifties – this can lead to significant difficulty and frustration when using a telephone. Businesses must ensure that all workers can use everyday equipment, including phones, efficiently and effortlessly regardless of age.

Chris continued: “The economic challenges that we face globally mean we simply can’t retire as early as we had planned - so many of us will need to work for longer. Businesses must recognise this and act now to address these changes. Providing equipment that makes people’s working life easier and more productive is not only important and the right thing to do but is also a legal requirement.”

Doro’s new phones are stylish and function rich - without any of the associated stigma.
