Double Quick from O2

O2 Broadband have streaked ahead in the broadband speed charts and now provide average download speeds over twice the national average according to broadband analysts at broadband.co.uk.

"While the national average download speed test has stayed pretty constant over June 2008 at around the 3.3Mbps mark we have seen O2 Broadband move well ahead of the rest of the ISP 's to reach an average of 7.02Mbps" says Edd Dawson from broadband.co.uk.

O2 Broadband, who share a technical infrastructure with Be Broadband, supply broadband using ADSL2+ technology allowing them to offer speeds of up to 20Mbps, a great deal faster than the average ISP and this is reflected in their speed test results.

"Such is O2's dominance in the average download speed charts that they are an incredible 47% faster on average than their nearest rivals Virgin Media," adds Dawson.
