Eaton Spices Things Up At Inaugural SpiceWorld London Event

Eaton’s SpiceHead, Matthieu Jaeger, will be giving IT Pros an exclusive insight into managing the power infrastructure within their virtualised environments at the first ever SpiceWorld London event, taking place on 24th – 25th May 2012. Eaton will also have an ‘IT-Talk Table’ at the event where it will be offering visitors the chance to see and discuss the company’s latest Power Quality Products that help support the IT infrastructure.

Originally from Texas, SpiceWorld has grown into one of the most talked about IT conferences for IT pros and marketers. The presentation by Matthieu Jaeger, from Eaton’s Communications & Software Technical Support team, will take place during Breakout Session 4, 10-11am, in the Vineyard Room on the second day of the event.

As virtualisation becomes more common in small and medium-sized businesses, systems must become manageable even with limited experience of hypervisors, command line programming and other disciplines central to virtualisation. Eaton is the industry leader in offering virtualised-environment-compatible software solutions that integrate with the hypervisor management system. Eaton’s Intelligent Power® Software solution incorporates two applications for ensuring system uptime and data integrity: Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) for UPS and rack-based power distribution unit (ePDU) management and monitoring, and Intelligent Power Protector (IPP) for graceful shutdown of operating systems. Matthieu’s presentation will address these issues and offer IT Pros a technical overview of Eaton’s solutions for protecting the virtual environment and how to manage UPS’s and ePDU’s with IPM.

Eaton’s IT-Talk Table at SpiceWorld will complement Matthieu’s seminar by using the company’s latest products, such as the 5PX UPS, to provide a demonstration of how IPM integrates with virtualisation and how IT managers can use the software to control their power management infrastructure.

Throughout the two day event at SpiceWorld, experts from Eaton will also be on hand to provide visitors with advice and guidance on selecting solutions for specific applications, with the emphasis on combining energy efficiency with versatility, durability and value for money.
