EE provides Benefits for Black Box Security

Security systems provider Black Box Security have recently rolled out the Android based Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to their field engineers utilising the new 4G EE business package. The new network and hardware will provide significant business benefits and improve communication channels for field based staff.

Black Box worked with business solutions provider Communicate Better to implement the new package, having historically used Windows Mobile devices for their field based engineering teams. The company wanted to upgrade to android based devices and Communicate Better suggested that 4G would be ideal for their business. The faster network will enable operating speeds up to 8 times faster than their existing devices, allowing the engineers to download manuals, job data, schematics and plans for the projects they are working on. This will significantly reduce travelling time and downtime for the client, as engineers will now be able to access large documents and the information they require remotely, rather than having to make journeys into the office.

Director for Communicate Better Mark Dermody said “We have worked with Black Box to implement both a change to the Android OS and also an upgrade to the new 4G services, we chose the Samsung device based on the customer’s specific requirements and the fact that we can include an enhanced service package, where a 24 hour courier exchange can be facilitated anywhere on the UK mainland for 24 months, ensuring we keep the field based team up and running at all times. We hope that they will be the first of many clients to experience the business benefits EE can bring”.
