Elite Ends Year with Record £4.9m Acquisition

Business telecoms specialist Elite Telecom has completed its largest acquisition of the year with the purchase of London-based GPNS.

The £4.9 million deal will see the firm increase its revenue by £3.5 million and gain more than 275 London city based new customers.

The takeover will bring with it 15 members of staff and provide opportunities for further recruitment.

GPNS specialises in providing telecoms solutions to businesses which are multi-site organisations for resilient voice data networks. GPNS’s products and services include internet telephony such as SIP trunking, IP software Swyx and a reliable in-house DR (disaster recovery) platform.

Chief executive Matt Newing, said, “This latest acquisition is a real anchor for our growth plans for the coming 12 months, which will see Elite continue to increase its prominence in the UK business telecoms industry.

“Small, high quality telecoms companies like GPNS will add real value to our current services.”

Elite Telecom is the UK’s leading business telecoms provider and the only telecoms company to appear four times in the prestigious Sunday Times Tech Track 100. The company specialises in bespoke business telecoms solutions for large and small blue chip organisations, Premier League football clubs and international corporations.

Elite’s extensive product portfolio ranges from revolutionary and self-branded products such as its intelligentcall queuing system, Elite IQ and the PCI compliant, Elite Card Guard, to call recording software and business phone systems. This will help further expand its offerings of VOIP solutions.
