Entanet, the UK wholesale voice and data communications provider, is encouraging resellers to take advantage of the growing market for Ethernet-based solutions that will increase revenues and strengthen their grip on customer relationships.
The new Entanet Ethernet Partner program will provide registered data resellers, systems integrators and consultants with active marketing, lead generation and sales support.
Following the major investments it has made in the adoption of BT’s 21st Century Network and extending its own national network, the company has seen its Ethernet sales rise quickly over the past year. It now sees this as a major area of growth opportunity for its partners.
Entanet’s Head of Marketing, Darren Farnden, states: “Entanet’s pioneering approach has given resellers the ability to offer technically and commercially competitive voice and data services to their customers. With a resilient network stretching throughout the UK, from Glasgow to London, we are also well-placed to provide IT solutions providers with high-performance, resilient Ethernet and IP VPN offerings that will enable them to boost their revenues and profits and drive higher levels of customer loyalty and retention.”
The company wants to encourage resellers to take these solutions to their customers pro-actively and Farnden believes that many are missing out on good opportunities at the moment: “We’re aware that many resellers often pass responsibility for connectivity back to their customers and miss out on the chance of securing those relationships and generating greater margin. We’re helping them understand how stand-alone Ethernet circuits or Ethernet and broadband-based IP VPN solutions can be a lucrative value-add to the solutions they’re implementing for those customers.”
The extent of Entanet’s network, its wholesale status and the carrier relationships it maintains, enables resellers and solutions providers to build Ethernet connections of up to 10Gbps into their solutions, or simply address customers’ specific connectivity needs. “Ethernet represents a fantastic high margin opportunity for resellers and solutions providers and we want to work with those seriously interested in partnership to identify, close and support sales to UK SMEs and corporates”, says Farnden. “This includes Entanet running marketing campaigns to generate leads for them, assisting them in bids through pre-sales consultancy and supporting them technically once circuits are implemented.”
