Entatech Excited for Windows 10 Innovations

Distributors
As a distributor for Microsoft OEM in the UK, Entatech UK may have been more eager than any other distributor for the release of Windows 10, which became available on 29th July.

The industry press was flooded with opinions on how Windows 10 would fare throughout the channel, with many looking forward to the return of features including the ever-so-loved ‘Start’ button and an improved user experience, whilst other pondered how the free upgrade for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 users would affect the channel.

Since its release, Entatech says has enjoyed tremendous success with Microsoft’s latest release, with x5 growth in sales. Q1 saw a 30% down growth for the distributor – undoubtedly something experienced by all Microsoft distributors – as resellers and end users eagerly anticipated the release of Windows 10.

Following the release, Entatech has seen growth in their share of the OEM marketplace, as the demand for the software is met. In addition, Entatech has seen a surge in its sales of components products as users upgrade their systems.

“Windows10 was a much needed injection of enthusiasm that the industry needed; the demand in late July and August has been particularly pleasing.” Dave Stevinson, Managing Director, Entatech.
