ETB Technologies on target to hit £15 million turnover

ETB Technologies, a reseller of refurbished servers, storage, and network equipment, has announced it is on target to hit £15 million in turnover, just two years after meeting the £10 million milestone.

The business is marking its 20th anniversary and is based in Dalbeattie, Scotland. ETB Technologies employs 60 people after increasing its headcount by 50 per cent since 2020. The appointments have included roles in operations, e-commerce and business development, with two new sites opening in Bellshill and Sheffield.

Nick Stapleton, managing director, ETB Technologies, said, “From our humble beginnings 20 years ago, ETB Technologies has become a force to be reckoned with, now distributing our refurbished enterprise IT equipment to more than 75 countries. All of that could not be achieved without the sterling effort of every person that works with us. We are proud of our achievements over the last two decades. While there is no doubt that the last 18 months have been tough, with both Brexit and Covid-19 placing hurdles in our paths, we are proud to have weathered the storm and are now experiencing steady market conditions allowing us to recruit 20 new members of staff.

“The future potential of the refurbished enterprise IT sector is considerable. The relationships we have cultivated since launching in 2001 – either through the customers, vendors, suppliers, or partners we work with – have enabled us to flourish. But the work doesn’t stop now. With bold ambitions, we are committed to extending our reach and bringing on board more employees and suppliers to achieve these.”

ETB Technologies said it will further upscale the business by extending its customer base internationally. The refurbished enterprise equipment supplier supports the refurbishment of Dell, Cisco, HP and Juniper networking equipment. Those products ship to more than 75 countries, with the company's international footprint representing half of its revenue. Around 40 per cent of sales come from countries across the EU and 10 per cent from the US. ETB Technologies plans to extend this, particularly across Europe.
