Ethernet Orders Spike As OPTIC Gathers Momentum

Channel Telecom has reported record Ethernet orders in 2017, topping their previous biggest month this May by a whopping 10%. Channel Telecom has been renouned in the industry for their aggressive pricing but the team put the recent success down to their OPTIC offering, which launched at the end of 2016.

OPTIC has been specifically designed to meet the evolving needs of a fast paced and demanding industry. The tool eliminates the drawn out and long winded procedure of visiting multiple web pages and gathering pricing information individually, trawling back and forth and more often than not, losing hours in the process. Channel Telecom partners can now enjoy instant hassle free access to Ethernet pricing from multiple carriers with a click. Improved response times mean that a reliable service can be offered by allowing partners to quote their clients in a streamlined and effective manner. The portal provides options from 10/100 through to 1000/1000 simultaneously which means that a price request needs only to be run once as opposed to the industry standard all too many of us have become used to.

Stuart Burdett, Head of Data Services, commented “Over the past year, we have seen huge expansion on what was already one of our key services. There are several reasons why I believe this has happened. Firstly, the cost of these services has been reduced dramatically over the last 18 months. This helped to reduce the time from quote to order from a few months to just a couple of weeks. The adoption of cloud based services by our customers has also driven the demand for business grade connectivity to support new business processes. And last, but by no means least, since the launch of Nimbus UC in August, our Ethernet orders

have soared”

Managing Director, Clifford Norton is thrilled with the accomplishments that the company has demonstrated over this short period. He states, “This is an exhilarating time for our developing business. Successes like this only motivates us further to keep pushing boundaries to find out what else might be possible. As interest in our new product, Nimbus UC escalates, we’re noticing a series of positive nock‐on effects throughout the organisation and it’s fantastic. Who knows where the next year will take us!?”
