Evoxus to offer BroadSoft VoIP

BroadSoft has announced that Evoxus, an integrated services provider based in Reading, Berkshire, has launched services to serve the multi-site enterprise market in the UK over the BroadWorks VoIP application platform.

Evoxus, which was originally a division of Barclays Bank a few years ago when run by Clive Hepper and now independently owned, delivers integrated voice and data applications to enterprises in a broad range of sectors including the retail, financial services and travel sectors. These customers do business at a fast pace, and need to be able to cascade information instantly throughout their organisation

The BroadWorks platform enables Evoxus to deliver this capability throughout the enterprise, over multiple sites, instantaneously bringing voice, data, video and business applications together at the desktop

Enterprise administrators can control calling features for an entire department or a specific individual through the web-based portal, and add, change or move users quickly and at a fraction of the current cost to meet requirements of the organisation.

"Rather than being a slave to the phone, the phone becomes slave to the employee," explained Mark Lower, chief executive office of Evoxus. "With BroadSoft's VoIP application software, we are able to take an enterprise into the new world of IP, by making IP telephony work within their current environment. The flexibility of the BroadWorks platform makes that possible."

"Evoxus offers creative services that enterprise use to improve the productivity and effectiveness throughout their organisations, even across different stores or sites, for example," said Michael Tessler, chief executive officer for BroadSoft. "The Evoxus team combines flexible solutions with strong integration capabilities to deliver the best VoIP communication services to their customers."

BroadSoft, with 6 of the top 10 global service providers as customers, offers an IMS-compliant VoIP application platform that can scale to meet the needs of regional VoIP service providers as well as the leading worldwide carriers.

InTechnology, based in Harrogate, United Kingdom, acted as the system integrator for Evoxus' deployment of the BroadWorks VoIP application platform.

Evoxus operates out of two main locations - Reading and London's Docklands interconnecting via two carrier grade soft switches. It employs 70 people.
