Ex- C&W Director is Next MD at Voice Connect

Leicester based telecoms firm, Voice Connect has made an ambitious managerial appointment to lead the company into the new year. Former Cable & Wireless Director, Mike Siddon has been appointed this week as Managing Director Designate. He will be working closely with current Managing Director and founder of the company Stefan Olsberg, who will take on the role of chairman within a 6 month period.

Voice Connect, now in its 15th year of trading, has enjoyed considerable success from developing niche markets such as schools, GPs and NHS Trusts. Siddon is being brought in to ensure that the company continues to develop its innovative specialist product rages and retains its technological edge. “After working for such a large organisation, it’s refreshing to be able to work with people who are so close to their products and their customers,” comments Siddon. “Voice Connect has always had a reputation within the industry for innovation and high quality customer service and I am excited to be playing a part in continuing that tradition, whilst bringing in my experience from the management of a far larger organisation.”

Siddon spent 14 years at Cable & Wireless rising rapidly through a number of sales and managerial roles. He was involved in establishing the premium rate business for the firm which quickly achieved billings of over £100 million, developing a respected reputation within the telecoms sector. Before deciding to leave the organisation to work for Voice Connect, he held one of the most senior roles within the multi million pound company.
