Excalibur Communications has achieved the Investors in People (IIP) Accreditation. Excalibur was praised by IIP Specialist Appraiser Jeanette Howells for the value it places on ‘work hard, play hard’, and the sincerity of giving and appreciating effort that is truly embedded within the culture of the organisation.
“If the essence of ‘family togetherness’ could be captured and bottled”, said Jeanette, “then this is exactly the aroma you would sense as you entered the working space of where the people at Excalibur are based.”
She added: “People genuinely believe that Excalibur Communications is a great place to work and the sense of people-value and family culture was clearly evident during the assessment. There is also strong evidence that people feel valued and respected for their contributions”.
This inaugural Investors in People award for South West company follows the single largest investment in training it made in its 22 year history, when it created its own Business School, designed to develop its managers of the future by promoting from within. The first four graduates had to complete a total of eight full days training, focusing on self, team, customer service, performance, budgets, profit/loss, and understanding of business finance.
