Excel Introduces its New Range of Server Cabinets

Excel Networking Solutions, the copper and optical cabling infrastructure provider, has launched a new range of floor standing server cabinets, available in two varieties to suit both physical requirements and budget constraints. The Excel Server+ Series is the flagship model and is ideal for mid size server rooms through to multi rack data centre installations.

The black Server+ Series is designed for the safe and secure housing of high density, heavy duty network and server equipment. Available from stock in two heights, 42u and 47u and a choice of either 600 and 800mm widths each 1000mm deep. The welded frame construction creates an extremely strong, yet versatile cabinet which is capable of carrying up to 800kg of equipment and includes a telescopic stabilising plinth as standard.

The Server+ range is packed with design features which allow for ease of use, including strength and airflow/ventilation management with in excess of 70% venting on the front door. Easy access to equipment is assured due to quick release side panels and front and rear doors mounted with quick release spring loaded hinge pins.

The Equipment Series cabinets are ideal for use across a range of applications including local area networking (LAN) cabling and hardware, plus the housing of security and AV equipment. With a load bearing capacity of 400Kg, cabinets are available in black with a vented front door in two heights, 42u and 47u and a depth of 1000mm and vented wardrobe doors on the rear. Typical applications include SME and remote office locations where the increased depth of 1000mm allows the installation of both passive and active equipment such as routers and servers in a single secure rack.

Features across each range include incremental 1U marking on the mounting profiles, quick release doors and side panels, full horizontally adjustable front and rear profiles and full access through the base of the cabinet.

To coincide with the launch of the new cabinets, Excel is releasing a new full colour brochure which highlights the full details of the range including the standard floor and wall cabinets and also features the new Excel Modular Power Strips.
