Excell Group and Utopi launch IoT platform for safe return to work

Excell Group and smart building disruptors Utopi have today launched Excell Protect, a complete safety solution designed to get businesses back to work quickly and optimally during COVID-19.

By combining thermal screening, social distancing, and data-driven cleaning into a single pane of glass, Excell Protect provides reassurance and data-driven evidence to building managers and returning employees, whilst protecting front-of-house staff from the virus and reducing the spread of the disease.

This multi-faceted solution will be deployed in offices and buildings where people come into close contact and need to be screened before entering. The thermal imaging solution can be rolled out quickly for businesses to commence daily routines with peace of mind and protection.

Space utilisation, people counting, and room and desk occupancy will work concurrently to facilitate social distancing throughout the buildings allowing for a quick and safe return to business as usual. Data-driven cleaning uses integrated data to provide more efficient use of cleaning resources along with safer cleaning regimes. This will allow a business to quickly resume operations with additional levels of health and safety for all in attendance.

Excell Protect is unified through an intuitive, integrated software platform, bringing all the vital data together into a simple to use dashboard with real-time monitoring and historic reporting. Data can be displayed on monitors around the building, providing peace of mind for staff whilst providing useful insight into how the building is performing.

Robert Moss, CEO of Excell Group said: “The launch of Excell Protect is vital to combatting the spread of the disease whilst getting people back into the office safely. We’ve combined Utopi’s brilliance in smart building technology with our 28 years’ experience in building management and optimisation to provide a completely unrivalled solution that will quickly help businesses return to the office with demonstrable data-backed confidence, and crucially, without fears of safety for all in attendance.”

Jonathan Burridge, CEO of Utopi added “The current COVID-19 pandemic presents huge challenges to businesses looking to plan a safe and compliant return to work. With a focus on employer responsibility, legal compliance, employee wellbeing and workplace remobilisation, we have developed an affordable solution to help businesses design the optimal route back to work.”
