Exchequer Dynamics, which works primarily in integrating other business systems with IRIS Exchequer accounting software, ERP and Business Management solution, called on Node4 to host its new cloud solutions centre last year and has already seen a host of benefits to its business. As a result of the move, the company has now enhanced security, improved resiliency and has greater control of its services.
The company has two sites – a head office in Christchurch, Dorset and a technical centre in Rushden, Northamptonshire which is located about fifteen minutes away from Node4’s Northampton data centre. There was a need to link both sites with the data centre as the focal point. Node4 facilitated a direct point-to-point fibre Ethernet link between Christchurch and the data centre. This has allowed Exchequer Dynamics to collocate servers and storage including centralising its VoIP telephone system for the two sites, giving it control over its entire IT infrastructure in the data centre with the resilience, redundancy and security that it required.
With the move to the Node4 data centre, Exchequer Dynamics is now in greater control of its web application servers, improving disaster recovery and backup.
