Executel Contract Pays the Rent

Middlesbrough’s largest landlord, Erimus Housing, has teamed up with the North East’s leading communications specialist in a bid to significantly improve customer relations.

The firm has called upon the expertise of Gateshead-based Executel to undertake a complete overhaul of its internal voice network, thus enabling more efficient call handling and much improved customer service for Erimus Housing tenants.

The installation – which represents an investment of around £27,000 – has linked the housing association’s multiple sites and provided state-of-the-art Voice over IP technology. Executel has also provided Erimus Housing with a tailored Low Cost Routing (LCR) and wholesale line rental package, saving the firm up to 30% compared to standard BT business rates.

Of the installation, Ann-Marie Lenagh, IT manager for Erimus Housing, said: “We have been working with Executel for several months and during that time have been thoroughly impressed by their technology and depth of expertise.

“The voice over IP solution is working as promised and has come with the support of superb engineers who have guided us through the installation process.

“Ultimately, our goal is to provide unparalleled customer service using state of the art facilities and technologies. Executel fully understands this and has delivered a solution that meets our high standards.”

John Robson, account manager for Executel, added: “Erimus Housing is committed to serving its tenants to the best of its ability and it’s therefore vital that the necessary communications infrastructure is in place to facilitate this.

“We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work on this project with Erimus Housing and look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the organisation.”

Established in November 2004, Erimus Housing is a not-for-profit housing association which currently owns some 11,000 homes across Middlesbrough and employs a 500-strong workforce.
