North East based communications specialist Executel is celebrating after being awarded Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status.

An existing Microsoft Certified Partner, Executel has successfully achieved the prestigious Gold Partner status with competencies in Unified Communication Solutions and Information Worker Solutions which together recognise the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies. Earlier this year, Executel was also awarded Microsoft’s Unified Communications Voice Specialist Status and is one of only two companies outside London to hold this prestigious accolade.

Of the company’s success, Tim Price, managing director of Gateshead-based Executel said: “It goes without saying that gaining this high level certification is a great achievement and a strong endorsement for the business. We are delighted to receive official recognition for our skills, experience and track record with the award of Microsoft’s Gold Certified Partner status.

“Gold Partner is awarded only to those companies that have met Microsoft’s rigorous partnership requirements and we are therefore extremely proud to have attained it. It recognises that Executel has demonstrated proficiency in delivering consistent, high-quality services built on Microsoft technologies and a proven ability to meet customers' needs.

“This award not only demonstrates an ongoing commitment from all our staff to their development and that of the company but also gives our customers further assurance that Executel is able to deliver unified communication solutions at the very highest level.”

In order to achieve Microsoft’s Gold Certified Partner Status, Executel has been scrutinised at every level by Microsoft technical specialists who in turn have confirmed that the company meets the stringent requirements and high standards set. Furthermore, a proportion of Executel’s workforce were required to gain individual accreditations which has resulted in a third of the company becoming Microsoft certified.
