PrismTech has awarded Gateshead-based Executel the significant contract which covers the provision of sophisticated unified communications technology, audio/web conferencing facilities and secure, business-class internet access.
Executel’s solution includes the Mitel Unified Communicator Advanced product which integrates with existing telephony services to provide PrismTech users in the UK, USA, France and The Netherlands with presence and availability information, secure instant messaging, audio conferencing and web and video collaboration.
The net result being that users can meet face-to-face while at their desks using multi-party video conferencing and share/edit documents online thereby avoiding unnecessary travel and expense. Meanwhile, at-a-glance presence and availability technology determines where contacts are at any given time (i.e. on the phone, in a meeting, on holiday) and what the best way is to contact them.
Furthermore, Executel has deployed Mitel’s Applications Suite (MAS) software, providing PrismTech with cost-effective audio and web conferencing facilities via both soft-phones and desktop handsets and an international Teleworker solution which enables worldwide users to access the corporate voice and data network whilst on the move.
