Exertis has expanded their Samsung voice solutions portfolio following the launch of the SMT-i5343 IP handset. The evolutionary colour screen handset complements the existing range of IP handsets and incorporates NFC, Bluetooth and Wireless technologies as well as supporting gigabit hard wired IP connectivity and an optional 1.3 mega pixel camera.
John Bird, Head of Systems and Support Services at Exertis, highlights how the product is ideally suited for mobile interaction “The handset is supported on both the Samsung OfficeServ and SCMe range of systems and suits the mobile worker particularly well, complementing the existing market leading mobility features that Samsung deliver to the channel. Bluetooth pairing with headset and mobile, Click to dial from your mobile, call move between devices, contact synchronisation and desk-phone control from your mobile device are all new features available with this handset. Samsung are renowned for producing market leading mobile phones and they continue to deliver game changing mobility features to the traditional ‘hard wired’ PBX market place. This feature rich IP handset now fully integrates the desk phone into a users’ mobile world more than any other solution in the channel”
The SMT range of handsets is widely recognised as one of the easiest range of IP handsets to deploy in the channel, with handsets supporting NAT out of the box. Exertis have stock of the new handset and have already shipped significant numbers to resellers, who are keen to use the device as a reason to go back to their customer base and ‘refresh the desktop’ with affordable colour screen, Wifi enabled technology.
