Exertis has announced the promotion of Jamie Brothwell to the newly created position of business development director. In addition, Al Coyne steps up to lead Exertis’ print division. Both roles report into Phil Brown, Exertis, sales and commercial director and are effective from January 2019.

“Our industry is continually evolving with new technologies constantly changing the business landscape. Jamie will be responsible for identifying new and profitable business opportunities for Exertis and ensuring that our customers take advantage of the diverse range of products and solutions that we can offer,” said Brown. “Al will take on the responsibility of leading our successful print division based from our Norfolk office. Both appointments are fully deserved reflecting the contributions they have made in driving our print business and establishing a centre of excellence for the A3 and specialist print market.”

Brothwell joined Exertis from Samsung Electronics and for the past four years has built a strong team with specialist expertise that has consistently enabled the print division to outgrow the market, expand its customer base and provide a compelling vendor portfolio. Prior to Exertis, Brothwell also spent more than ten years at Midwich.

“I am very much looking forward to working in a wider capacity across the IT and AV business moving forward. It is an exciting time within the Exertis Group with many new innovations, technologies and a core focus on services. I am delighted to be at the forefront of this journey,” said Brothwell.

Coyne has successfully managed the Norfolk specialist print team and will now assume responsibility for the entire division. He also has extensive print industry experience having spent fifteen years at Midwich.

“I am delighted to now be officially leading the Exertis print team as general manager and I look forward to continuing the great results we have achieved to date. Besides a great portfolio of vendors, we have a range of services that our resellers can use to enhance their print offering,” said Coyne.
