Expand Networks Offers Tonic for WAN Congestion

Expand Networks, a provider of application acceleration over the wide area network (WAN), has announced that it is offering a Free WAN Health Check worth £1000 enabling enterprises to view and understand how to improve their WAN performance.

Installing the Expand Compass platform of tightly integrated technologies on a trial basis will provide end-users with free reviews of WAN bandwidth, Windows Environment and Application, and File System Usage. Allowing end users to see exactly where bandwidth is going, Expand will also demonstrate how to steer bandwidth away from recreational traffic and towards business critical applications, how traffic can be compressed, and in addition, how to improve application response times over the WAN.

“It is one thing to discuss how to improve the performance of a WAN, but quite another to see it with your own eyes,” said James Sherlow, VP Technical Services, EMEA, Expand Networks. “By offering a free trial of our Compass platform, end users are better informed about the workings of the WAN and are provided with the transparency of how Expand technology can improve user productivity and provide a cost-effective solution to IT management.”
