Falklands Remembered by M12 Sponsorship

M12 Solutions recently provided sponsorship assistance for The Ringbolt Dining Club, whose membership are mainly former pilots of 820 Naval Air Squadron that served on The Invincible during The Falklands Conflict. This event is very close to M12 Solutions MD, Andrew Skipsey’s heart. In 1982 he was a 21 year old Royal Marine serving on HMS Fearless.

As a result Andrew Skipsey was invited to the 25th Anniversary Dinner held at Buckingham Palace. Andrew was honoured to be seated on Table number 1 in The State Dining Room with his wife Jayne, who was seated between H.R.H. The Duke of York and Admiral Sir Jeremy Black! The Duke, then Prince Andrew, served as a helicopter pilot during the conflict. Andrew Skipsey also saw service and was in the thick of the action in San Carlos Water 1982 as a Royal Marine on H.M.S. Fearless Landing Craft, Foxtrot 1.

Says Andrew, “the evening was one of the most memorable you could imagine with some amazing recollections recounted.” The evening was the first of a number of reunions M12’s Andrew has recently attended; the last was arranged by The Royal Marines for conflict veterans and was held at Lancaster House following the Commemoration Service held on Horseguards Parade.
