FCS Announces New Credit and Debt Management Support Service

In the fast growing telephony market success brings its own challenges and in response to member demands FCS is launching a new service to help companies improve their credit and debt management processes.

As well as providing access to a range of credit and debt management services, provided by other FCS members the service aims to promote good practice enabling companies to improve their business management and efficiency.

The scope of activity will include improving management of credit control via access to training, advice on credit control issues and updates on relevant regulation such as data protection, collections, credit referencing and intelligence sharing

FCS will be working with its members Graydon UK and Sovereign Credit Management to provide the new services and the first fruits of the initiative will be a new credit intelligence network set up by Graydon specifically designed for communications providers and resellers.

The new range of services will be co-ordinated by FCS Trade Association Manager Michael Eagle who says: “FCS is always looking for new ways to help members in running their businesses. These new support services will meet the clearly expressed needs of our members across the communications industry in what is a key area for them. The new intelligence network will provide an invaluable tool enabling members to manage risk more effectively and benefiting both individual members and the sector generally. Further initiatives will be announced as details are finalised.”

Martin Williams Graydon’s Managing Director commented “Critical information such as disconnections and suspended service actions will be collected from the members by Graydon and instantly merged with the credit information on the Graydon database. Reseller members can then instantly access credit reports containing this crucial information for credit decisioning, a unique feature in the credit industry.”
