First four graduate with the IDM Award in Data Management

The first four marketers to graduate from the UK’s first ever professional data management qualification are: Adrian Gregory F IDM, Chairman, DQM Group; Prakash Kelshiker M IDM, Consultant at DataCrunch; Francesca Mauloni, Marketing Manager, Jigsaw Systems and David Rose from Data Advance.

Over 350 marketers have enrolled on the IDM Award in Data Management since its launch in April this year. Developed in response to data’s increasingly important role in marketing, its importance as a business asset and the tightening of regulations surrounding its use and security, the syllabus covers every aspect of data management and is delivered entirely online.

Speaking at a special information and networking event for current Award students at the offices of headline sponsor Mail Media Centre last week, Adrian Gregory, Chair of the IDM Data Council, commented, “I’m thrilled to be one of the first to graduate with the IDM Award in Data Management, which is fast becoming the industry standard for data marketing best practice. If an organisation uses personally identifiable customer information in any way, it will soon be imperative that they have staff with this qualification.”

Fellow Award graduate, Prakash Kelshiker, added, “This course pulls together numerous disparate but important data topics that are rarely seen under one roof and is valuable whatever your level of expertise. For anyone just starting out in data, it's an efficient way to gain a breadth of knowledge that would otherwise take years to acquire. For those who've been working with customer data for longer, it’s a chance to bring their knowledge up to date, with credible, supplier-neutral learning materials.”
